Poland is the sixth-largest economy in the European Union after Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, and the largest economy among the former communist states in the EU. Since the collapse of communism in 1989, the country has made significant progress in becoming a prominent economy.

Introducing Poland

According to the Central Bank of Poland, with a significant increase in exports and a decrease in imports, Poland's trade surplus reached a record high of €2.243 billion (equivalent to €2.4 billion) in February 2023. Polish exports increased by 10% compared to the same period the previous year, reaching €26.5 billion. This increase is mainly attributed to a higher volume of automotive products, including passenger cars, lithium-ion batteries, and automotive parts. Additionally, due to price increases, there has been a significant rise in food sales. Meanwhile, imports decreased by 5.4% to €24.2 billion, as the import of food products, particularly from Ukraine, experienced a sharp decline.

Overall, Poland is an industrial and agricultural country with a thriving export market for industrial and machinery products, as well as agricultural goods.

The Polish economy heavily relies on exports, particularly in the manufacturing and services sectors. Some key exports from Poland include machinery and equipment, furniture, and food products. The government has also invested in sectors such as information technology and renewable energy to bring about economic diversification.

Poland is among the countries that have been on a development path since gaining independence from the Soviet Union, and it enjoys favorable economic indicators. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Poland's per capita income (GDP divided by the population) reached the threshold of $30,000. However, this figure has decreased to around $17,000 in 2022 due to economic challenges resulting from the pandemic. In comparison, Iran's per capita income is around $3,000, indicating a significant gap between Iran and the sixth-largest economy in the European Union.

Germany, Poland's western neighbor, is its largest trading partner, and there are extensive trade relations between the two countries. Prior to the Ukraine crisis, Russia was also an important trading partner for Poland, but currently, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Ukraine, and Sweden have taken its place. China also has significant financial and trade ties with Poland.

Krakow exhibition Venue

Krakow, in addition to its historical significance, is a hub for commerce, culture, and science. The city reached the finals of the European Best Destination 2022 awards, as it has been attracting not only tourists but also scientists and entrepreneurs from all around the world for years. A business trip to Krakow is a pure delight, and the visual splendors of the city prove it.

One important feature of the Krakow exhibition center is its versatility. With a large space of 14,000 square meters, it provides excellent opportunities for trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences. The exhibition space in Krakow, spanning 14,000 square meters, is divided into two halls with appropriate ceiling heights and standard design. The halls are designed without columns, allowing for the hosting of standard international events.
